Have you always been uncertain about whether you snore at night? Do you experience choking during snoring? What conditions and emergencies can such choking states trigger? Now, you can resolve your queries instantly using just your smartphone.
Revolutionary Technology Features
The OSA screening and monitoring feature requires no additional hardware or wearable devices, making it accessible to anyone with a smartphone.
Detailed snoring scoring system, respiratory health status, and airway obstruction analysis throughout the night.
Medical-Grade Clinical Validation
One-Year Clinical Study Results
From August 2024 to August 2025, SnailSleep® partnered with the International Medical Department of a professional hospital to conduct a one-year clinical study on non-invasive, digital sleep apnea screening. The research focused on evaluating a smartphone app using acoustic and motion monitoring to detect Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).
A certified medical-grade home sleep monitor (BMC YH-600) served as the reference standard. Over the course of two nights of parallel testing, 180 participants—screened and approved by physicians—completed home-based monitoring, yielding a robust dataset for validation.
Results demonstrated that among users identified by the SnailSleep app as having moderate to severe OSA, over 95% were confirmed by the professional-grade device, indicating a high positive predictive value (PPV). The algorithm also showed strong alignment with clinical devices in detecting apnea events, assessing snoring severity, and estimating sleep stages.
Addressing a Critical Health Gap
According to Obstructive Sleep Apnea metrics: A survey on the U.S. population showed that OSA affects nearly 30 million Americans, with an estimated 80% of cases remaining undiagnosed.
Most sleep monitors based on mobile devices can only provide basic information, such as deep and light sleep stages, and give a score based on body movement and sound. However, this is far from sufficient for consumers to truly understand their sleep, especially concerning snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), which affects a large number of adults.
Reducing comorbidities caused by snoring, such as cardiovascular disease and cognitive decline, has become an undeniable fact. With the launch of SnailSleep's Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) screening and monitoring feature, users can now access more detailed sleep information, including:
- Comprehensive snoring scoring system
- Snoring alerts and severity analysis throughout the night
- Respiratory health status during sleep
- Location and type of snoring (e.g., uvula, soft palate, behind the tongue)
- Detailed analysis of the number and duration of airway obstructions
"Sleep apnea affects millions, but the path to diagnosis is often complex. Our new technology simplifies this process. By leveraging the power of AI, we're making it possible for anyone to get a critical health assessment using a device they already own. This is a powerful step towards a healthier world, and we're proud to be at the heart of this change."
A Decade of Technical Innovation
The technology and proprietary algorithms behind the Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) screening and monitoring function fill a significant market gap through years of practical validation and iterative improvements. As early as 2015, SnailSleep began conducting comparative studies between its mobile application algorithms and Polysomnography (PSG), continuously improving monitoring accuracy over a decade of technical accumulation.
With constant innovation in UI/UX and technology, the product has earned continuous praise and recognition from users. Today's global launch of this new solution will help consumers worldwide achieve early identification and better management of snoring-related issues.
